Manucho "Will Develop"

Angola coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves admits he was delighted with the contribution of United striker Manucho towards his side's African Cup of Nations campaign.

The Black Antelopes reached the quarter finals of the competition for the first time, with Manucho scoring four goals in as many games before their exit to reigning champions Egypt.

With the 23-year-old striker now set to spend the rest of the season on loan at Panathinaikos before returning to United, Goncalves is convinced Manucho will only get better.

"He has some great qualities as a player as you all could see," he said. "He is a young man who has never played before at any other level, let alone being at any other cup or with the national team.

"This is his first time here and as you all witnessed he was able to score one goal in every game that he played.

"And knowing that he has just signed with Manchester United, he will develop in the coming months or years and will be a better player and we hope he can fulfil all his potential."
