Carling Cup Semi-final Draw: United To Face City Rivals

Holders Manchester United will face local rivals Manchester City in the Carling Cup semi-final.

United reached the last four with a 2-0 win over Tottenham at Old Trafford and were then drawn against City, who saw off Arsenal 3-0 at Eastlands.

The other semi-final sees Aston Villa, 4-2 conquerors of Portsmouth, up against Blackburn after Rovers' dramatic shoot-out win over Chelsea.

The semis take place over two legs in the weeks commencing 4 and 18 January.
