3D Treat For Asian Reds

Building on the success of the events in Shanghai and Beijing in 2011, Manchester United and Epson are bringing the Champ19ns Experience to Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia in February and March 2012.

The Experience will again feature the latest in projector technology from Epson, giving fans the chance to see their favourite players as they have never seem them before.

Epson will be demonstrating their latest 3D projector technology with a special film of the United stars. Shot in Stereoscopic 3D using super slow-motion cameras, it allows fans to see their heroes’ skills, technique and style in a completely fresh and new way.

The Champ19ns Experience will also recreate the story of Manchester United winning an historic 19 league titles. Supporters will be given the chance to get up close and personal to some historic United memorabilia including David Beckham’s boots, a 2010/11 league winners’ medal and much more.

Richard Arnold, Manchester United commercial director, said: “Engaging with our fans around the world is very important to Manchester United and we are lucky enough to have almost 20 million fans in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia alone. We always receive a passionate response from our global fans and these countries are no different.

"Winning the English league 19 times is a historic achievement and I am pleased that we have been able to join Epson in sharing this with our fans.”

Ian Cameron, general manager of global communications at Epson, said: “Epson was delighted with the success of the events in China last year and is again proud to team up with Manchester United to give Thai, Singaporean and Malaysian fans the opportunity to watch the world’s best footballers in a whole new dimension on our world-leading projectors.”

The events will take place in Bangkok at Central World on 11 and 12 February, Singapore on 9, 10 and 11 March, and Kuala Lumpur on 30 March, 31 March and 1 April.

The Manchester United Epson Champ19ns experience forms part of the DHL Champions 19 trophy tour that is visiting 27 international destinations from February to May 2012.
