Fortune's Coaching Plans
Quinton Fortune has revealed to ManUtd.com that he plans to take his coaching badges next season.
The bubbly South African still trains at Carrington and assists with some of the sessions involving the Reserves and younger lads at the club.
Although he is jetting out on the DHL tour in an ambassadorial capacity, he still enjoys working on the pitch with the players.
"People ask me why I still train," said the former midfielder. "I don't know what to do if I don't go training. I'd go crazy!
"I enjoy working for the club as well but it's great to go to Carrington and see the lads and work with Warren Joyce when he needs me.
"I do want to do coaching this season. I'm taking my badges and I can do that at Carrington and work in the evening to do my hours, get my assessment and keep going."
Clearly, Fortune is in a prime position to cut his teeth coaching alongside some of the best in the business.
"Exactly," he reasons. "There's no better place to learn. Every day, I watch training and learn from Rene [Meulensteen] and Mike [Phelan] and so on. I love working with the younger players as well."
