De Gea Relishes RvP Link

David De Gea is looking forward to seeing a different side of Robin van Persie, should his agreed transfer to Manchester United be finalised this weekend.

Instead of facing the Dutch striker as he did last season, the Reds goalkeeper would relish the chance to play behind him. Their meeting at Old Trafford almost a year ago was highly eventful - after saving van Persie's first-half penalty, De Gea was eventually beaten by him, albeit it was only a consolation strike as the Gunners were humbled 8-2. That was one of 30 league goals for top scorer RvP during the 2011/12 campaign - a stat that speaks for itself.

"He's one of the greatest strikers in the world and it would be a really great signing for us," De Gea told ManUtd.com on Thursday.

"It's better to have him in our team and helping us. He's a player who scores a lot of goals and he's very cool up front. He has a lot of quality to his game."
