Henriquez's Patient Approach

Angelo Henriquez admits he is looking to improve his game at United in order to challenge for a first-team spot.

The 18-year-old has a fine reputation in his homeland after starring for Universidad de Chile and completed a move to Old Trafford ahead of the transfer deadline.

As he is on international duty with Chile Under-20s, featuring in a 4-0 friendly defeat to the France Under-21 side, the striker is still waiting for his first appearance in a United shirt.

Sir Alex Ferguson hinted to Inside United that the forward is in his thinking for the Capital One Cup and there must be every chance that he could get a run-out in the Reserves with a Manchester Senior Cup tie against Bury on the horizon.

"I'm training and looking to get an opportunity," Hernandez told Radio Bio Bio. "There are many things I have to improve to reach the level of Manchester United."

When asked if he was disappointed not to be in the Champions League squad, he replied: "I won't ask to be given some minutes and nor will I pretend I'm better than I really am. I have to go step by step. I have to adapt and improve physically."
