Another Award For RvP

After scooping the ManUtd.com Player of the Month award for December, Robin van Persie has picked up the equivalent honour from Premier League sponsors Barclays following a prolific month in front of goal.

The Dutchman found the net five times in six games as the Reds claimed victories in all but one of their December league fixtures.

Van Persie was delighted with the prize and said: "It was a big month for us. You have certain periods during a season when it goes your way and December was one of those periods.”

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas was named the Barclays Manager of the Month for December after guiding Spurs to four wins out of six last month.
