Angelo Aims To Progress
Angelo Henriquez says he wants to keep progressing after scoring on his first appearance for the Reds and earning David Moyes' men a 1-1 draw with AIK Fotboll on Tuesday night.
The 19-year-old came off the bench to replace the injured Nani at Friends Arena in Stockholm and fired United's second-half equaliser in the final game of Tour 2013 presented by Aon.
Henriquz was a happy man after the game and told ManUtd.com that he is determined to build on the experience.
"To be involved in my first game with the first team and score was a great moment for me," he told us.
"It's been fantastic to train with the squad and also spend time with the players. I am learning a lot."
Henriquez says he is yet to speak to David Moyes about whether or not he will remain at Old Trafford or go out on loan again as he did for the second half of last season at Wigan.
The Chilean striker thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Latics and says Sunday's Community Shield clash between Wigan and United will be a big match for him on a personal note.
"Wigan hold a special place in my heart and it will be a special game for me. I am looking forward to the match and hopefully we can get the result we want. It's important for us to win the trophy," he added.
"My time at Wigan helped me a lot. It was a great experience to be in a first-team squad and playing in big matches in the Premier League and FA Cup.
"The biggest thing I learnt is that the Premier League is one of the best and most important leagues in the world, and you have to be at your very best in every game.
"I want to continue to improve and I know that in order to do that I just need to keep training hard and doing my best."
