Macheda Joins Doncaster On Loan

Federico Macheda has joined Championship side Doncaster Rovers on loan, subject to paperwork being completed.

The Italian centre-forward watched Rovers' goalless draw with Huddersfield Town over the weekend and has agreed a deal, initially for a month, to move to Yorkshire.

Doncaster boss Paul Dickov, the former Manchester City striker, has been trailing Macheda for some time and could hand his new signing a debut in Tuesday's league fixture with Watford.

The 22-year-old has previously had loan spells with Sampdoria, QPR and Stuttgart and will be aiming to impress at the Keepmoat Stadium.
