Reds Museum Wins Award
Manchester United's Museum and Tour is celebrating after winning the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year award at the Manchester Tourism Awards last night.
The awards ceremony, held at the Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays, celebrates the very best of Manchester’s business and tourism industry.
Manchester United’s Group Managing Director, Richard Arnold, comments: "We’re delighted that the Manchester United Museum and Tour has been recognised with this award. The Museum and Tour is one of the North West’s most popular tourist destinations, welcoming more than 340,000 visitors each year from across the world.
"The Museum and Tour prides itself on delivering an unforgettable experience that encapsulates the passion and history of this great club. We now look forward to the opportunity to represent Manchester at the 2013 Visit England Awards."
The Museum and Tour can be enjoyed in a number of different ways including arriving at Old Trafford via a leisure cruise taking in Manchester’s canal networks, Salford Quays and MediaCityUK. VIP tours, led by Manchester United legends, are also available.
The Manchester United Museum & Tour will now go on to represent Manchester in the 2013 Visit England Awards.
