Rafael Form Delights Boss
Manchester United manager David Moyes was keen to praise Rafael's performance in the 3-0 victory against West Brom.
The Brazilian returned to the side at right-back and was in excellent form, forcing Ben Foster to tip a header onto the bar, winning the free-kick that led to Phil Jones' opener and crossing superbly for Wayne Rooney to head in.
By also defending impressively, including making one wonderful block in the closing stages, there is little doubt that Rafael was the right man to pick up the fans' official Man-of-the-Match award on Twitter.
"I've got to mention Rafa," the manager told MUTV. "He picked out a great cross for Wayne's goal and was involved in the build-up to the first one as well. He probably should have scored one or two himself maybe when he got around the back in the first half.
"There were some really good performances in the team. Much better than I've seen for a while."
Rafael was replaced by Nemanja Vidic after picking up a knock towards the end of a satisfying afternoon for the Reds.
"I think he got a kick on the ankle," added Moyes. "That is what I was told - he'd taken a kick in a tackle with 10 minutes to go. He was limping so I didn't want to risk it any more."
