Fellaini Praises United Team Spirit
Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has praised the never-say-die attitude that propelled the Reds to a 1-0 win over Newcastle on Wednesday, stating the squad’s team spirit will be of immense importance moving forward.
The last-gasp goal against the Magpies was quintessential United, achieved through an endless perseverance that Fellaini believes will serve the Reds well heading into the FA Cup clash with Arsenal on Monday.
“We always keep going and scored in the last minute,” the Belgian told MUTV. “The spirit was good, we continued [probing] and that is important.
“We have showed it [the spirit] already a lot of times now and we have to continue like that,” he added. We have a big game on Monday, so it is good for the confidence.”
With the quarter-final tie against the Gunners looming large, the Reds will certainly need to call upon the aforementioned spirit in what Fellaini predicts will be a tough encounter.
“It will be a challenge," he declared. "Monday is a massive game. We have to win it in one game because playing at Arsenal would be difficult. The FA Cup is a special competition, a big trophy in England. I lost a final. I played in a semi-final. This season, I can win [it].”
