Javier Hernandez Relishing Chance To Play With World's Best

Javier Hernandez insists he is good enough for Real Madrid and believes his loan from Manchester United to the Santiago Bernabeu has been worthwhile.

The Mexico striker left Old Trafford in September 2014 after he was reportedly deemed surplus to requirements by manager Louis van Gaal in the wake of Radamel Falcao's arrival at the club.

Since his move to the Spanish capital, Hernandez has struggled to establish himself in the Real first team, barely figuring for the European champions - managing just 209 minutes of La Liga action and scoring four goals in all competitions.

Despite Karim Benzema being firmly established as coach Carlo Ancelotti’s first-choice centre-forward, the 26-year-old has not given up on the prospect of appearing more regularly for Los Blancos.

And Chicharito also insisted he is not out of his depth among some of the world's greatest players.

"I feel on a par with the best in the world," said Hernandez, speaking at a Microsoft promotional event.

"I am here for something and, in the few opportunities that I have had, I have tried to show it.

"I will be prepared for that opportunity that I am waiting for.”
