Dutch Influence Pleases Ruud
Ruud van Nistelrooy is pleased to see the growing Dutch influence at Manchester United.
The ex-Reds striker is currently in a coaching role with PSV Eindhoven's youth academy, hence MUTV's opportunity to interview the 39-year-old during the midweek Champions League trip to the Netherlands.
Van Nistelrooy continues to track his former club's fortunes and is excited to see the impact being made by Louis van Gaal and his compatriots on the coaching and playing staff.
"It's good," he replied, when asked about the number of Dutchmen at Old Trafford.
"I'm happy to see players and coaches from the Netherlands at clubs like United. It is only good for Dutch football.
"Of course, it's impossible not to [watch United] for me. I've followed them ever since [I left] and I am interested now to see them back in the Champions League and making a good start in the Premier League.
"It was a good win against Liverpool. I saw that game with [Anthony] Martial scoring a great goal. Memphis and Daley are there, putting in their qualities, and they have had a good season so far. Hopefully, they can bring more to the team as well."
