Injury Update On Rojo & Schneiderlin

It has been confirmed that Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo suffered an injury in training on Saturday, while Morgan Schneiderlin is currently enduring a bout of illness.

Neither player was named in the matchday squad for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League match against Bournemouth, which was abandoned due to the discovery of a suspect package in the North-West Quadrant of Old Trafford. An announcement about its rearrangement is yet to be made.

Rojo and Schneiderlin will hope to recover in time for the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace at Wembley on Saturday. Taking to his personal Instagram account later on Sunday evening, Morgan posted about the security issue at the stadium and praised the club's security staff.

"Wasn't at the stadium due of illness but feel so sad of what happened this afternoon," the Frenchman wrote. "Happy that all the people are safe and feel sorry for all the fans. Thanks to the police and security staff who were able to handle the situation."

Luke Shaw has already been ruled out of the FA Cup final by Louis van Gaal, while experienced midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will also miss the showpiece event due to his knee injury.

Ashley Young was named on the bench for the Bournemouth match following his return to training, although Matteo Darmian did not make the cut. It remains to be seen whether the Italian full-back will be fit enough to face Palace at the national stadium.
