Lingard Enjoying Work With Mourinho

Jesse Lingard is hoping Jose Mourinho can maintain his incredible silverware record as Manchester United manager as the young attacker discussed working under his new boss.

The 23-year-old reports the training sessions under Mourinho have gone well so far with the manager ensuring the players work hard but enjoy themselves.

The players have undertaken some tough workouts in the sweltering heat in Shanghai during Tour 2016, presented by Aon, but Lingard revealed the squad are keen to put the graft in.

"The sessions are intense and hard work but the manager likes a joke and it's been great fun so far," he told MUTV.

"Everyone has taken a liking to him. He's a really chilled, easy-going guy and we're all looking forward to the season. He's won a lot of trophies and we hope he can help us to win some here."

Lingard also revealed how Axel Tuanzebe is settling into his first senior tour with the Reds, adding: "He's with me and Marcus [Rashford] at the back of the bus, and Timmy [Fosu-Mensah] as well!

"It's a great experience for him. hopefully he'll get some minutes, look to impress and take it into the season. He's really enjoying it."
