Schneiderlin Admires Chinese Support

Morgan Schneiderlin says his team-mates are looking forward to experiencing the passion of Manchester United fans in China, a country where he believes the game is growing all the time.

The Frenchman enjoyed his first taste of touring with the Reds last summer and although his time off after the European Championships means he's likely to miss next week's Tour 2016, presented by Aon, he's predicting another memorable pre-season trip for the squad.

Schneiderlin has been impressed with the growth of football following the introduction of the Chinese Super League and insists it's great for United to be able to play in front of fans in Asia where the passion for the club has always been incredible.

"You can see that we have a lot of support from that part of the world," he told ManUtd.com, prior to joining France's squad for Euro 2016.

"At the stadiums and even at the training ground, the fans are always there. That shows how much they love United. It will be nice for the team to discover China, to go there and see how much the supporters love the club."

The Reds last visited China's mainland in 2012 but four years on, the squad has changed and football in the world's most populous country has evolved.

"It’s a great country and you can see that people are very passionate," said Schneiderlin. "Football is growing and in the Chinese League they have bought some great players. The fans there just love football and it’ll be nice for the team to go there and play in front of them."

Schneiderlin also reflected on his memories of last year's trip to the United States, his first tour with the Reds, and explained how the experience emphasised the importance of always performing at your maximum level.

"It’s about dedication every day in everything you do," he declared. "You represent the club and in every football game, every training session, you need to be the best.

"You need to dedicate your life to football. I did it before, but at United you need to do it even more. Every day is a challenge and every day you get questioned again about your abilities, so I enjoy it."
