How Hard Is It To Beat De Gea?
Marcus Rashford and David De Gea lifted the lid on life at the Aon Training Complex during exclusive interviews with MUTV ahead of the Premier League season opener against Bournemouth.
The duo spoke to the club's official channel as part of the regular first-team chats featured every Friday in Countdown to Kick-Off, which is first aired at 18:30 BST.
Rashford was asked what it is like trying to score past De Gea and replied: "It's difficult to say because, in the games, the shots that you might take that would go in or trouble the keeper, in training sometimes he's even catching them so it can be a bit disheartening! [Laughs].
"But that only helps to make us all better which is good for all of us. It’s amazing to have a keeper of that stature and quality in the net for us."
The striker's comments were put to De Gea with the Spaniard saying: "It's good for both [of us], he tries to score and I try to save the goals and I think it’s good for us!
"I think he’s a really good finisher as well as a good dribbler. He has a lot of great things with a special talent. He can be one of the best."
