'Einsteins' Wrong To Write Off Reds
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says "football Einsteins" are wrong to write off his team after one bad week of results.
Speaking to MUTV after the 3-1 victory in the EFL Cup at Northampton Town, the boss feels there was an unbalanced reaction to the defeats to Manchester City, Feyenoord and Watford in the media. The Reds had started the season superbly and will look to put things right in three successive home fixtures against Leicester City, Zorya Luhansk and Stoke City.
"It's always good to be at home," he said. "I can understand completely the disappointment for the fans with the last week but I'm sure, back at home, they will be behind the team like they always are.
"We had a bad week. I know that some football Einsteins, they tried to delete 16 years of my career and delete an unbelievable history of Manchester United Football Club and focus on a bad week and three bad results. But that's the new football - it's full of Einsteins."
