Joyce Leaves United

Warren Joyce is leaving his post as Manchester United Reserves coach to become manager of Wigan Athletic.

The highly-respected figure joined the Reds in 2008 and was initially joint-coach with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before taking sole charge two years later.

Some 14 trophies have been lifted during his tenure, with United winning the Under-21 Premier League in three of its four years before this summer's switch to an Under-23 format. In the other season, his team were beaten in the final by Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Joyce is also credited with aiding the development of a number of players who have gone on to enjoy success at Old Trafford and beyond. He has signed a three-and-a-half year contract at Wigan and will take charge of his new team against Jaap Stam's Reading on Saturday.

Everybody at the club would like to wish Warren the very best of luck for the future.
