Zlatan Confident Of Winning Title With United
Zlatan Ibrahimovic covered a number of topics during his extensive and exclusive interview with Inside United. From his title hopes with the Reds to winning the most important medal in his illustrious career, the Swede spoke honestly and openly to the official club magazine.
THE TITLE IS HIS TARGET
Ibrahimovic has won silverware everywhere he's gone, but his mind is well and truly set on adding another medal to his collection with a Premier League winners' crown.
"Oooof it would be fantastic," he declares, with a smile. "If I could win the Premier League, the next day I would stop playing football… almost! We have been a little bit unlucky in certain games, but we believe and when you believe it will come. Hopefully I can win it and I will win it."
THIS CLUB IS MASSIVE
A man who has won titles at Barcelona, PSG and the Milans to name but a few, (in fact he is the only player to have won 13 championships in four different leagues) Ibrahimovic has represented some of the biggest clubs in the world, but he insists "this club is massive".
"I have played at other massive clubs, every club is massive and if it was not massive it became massive when I came! Everything we do here is huge, it’s not local, it’s global, it’s to reach out worldwide."
EVERY MEDAL IS SPECIAL
When you've won over 25 major honours during one of the most decorated careers in the game, picking a favourite is one hard task - even for Ibra. "Every medal has its story," he says. "It’s difficult to say because I have one from every country I went to."
Zlatan has already claimed one in England after his headed goal earned United the FA Community Shield back in August. Hopefully, as he admits, it will be the first of many medals won as a Red.
