Blind: We Push Each Other

Daley Blind says every Manchester United player has a big part to play in the club's quest for success, pointing to Saturday's FA Cup win as a good example of the squad's strength.

Jose Mourinho made nine changes to the team for the third round tie at Old Trafford and yet the Reds still cruised to a 4-0 victory to book a spot in the fourth round of the competition.

Blind says the competitiveness in the group is spurring everyone on, and he insists the quality has been key to registering a run of eight straight wins in all competitions.

"Everyone shows they are ready to play when they are needed and that's important for the team because we do it with everyone and we need everyone," Daley toldĀ MUTVĀ on Saturday.

"We know it's eight straight wins but we also keep in mind that it doesn't come from nothing. We work hard for it, in every training session, and the team spirit is very good. It's up to us to keep things going.

"We have a big squad and everybody is competing and everyone wants to be better. In every training session there is a lot of competition and that makes the team better."

Saturday's cup win was kicked off by Wayne Rooney's club record-equalling goal to draw level with Sir Bobby Charlton on 249 and Blind paid tribute to his captain after the game.

"It's great for Wayne with how many goals he's scored. He's a great personality and a great legend at the club. I'm happy for him," added the Dutch defender.
