United's Unbeaten Run: Worst in Premier League

Manchester United have gone 20 games without defeat - but their 10 draws during that streak means it is the least productive long unbeaten run in Premier League history.

There have been 15 other occasions when a Premier League team has gone unbeaten for 20 games or more, and in each instance they have recorded a better win rate than United's 50 per cent return.

The previous worst win percentage during a long unbeaten streak was when Chelsea took 11 wins and 10 draws from their games between August 1998 and January 1999, earning a 52.4 per cent win percentage.

In contrast, United's 21-game undefeated spell between December 2002 and August 2003 yielded 18 wins and just three draws - a win percentage of 85.7 per cent.

United boss Jose Mourinho did oversee Chelsea's prolific October 2004 to October 2005 spell, when they won 33 of 40 games and recorded a win percentage of 82.5 per cent.

Arsenal hold the title for the longest run without suffering a loss in the Premier League, putting together a 49-game streak between May 2003 and October 2004 in which they won 36 (73.5 per cent) of their fixtures.
