Lukaku: Anderlecht Return A Dream
Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku says he will to return to boyhood club Anderlecht before retiring from football.
Lukaku started his career with the Belgian club before joining Chelsea in 2011, coming through the youth system, and eventually spending two seasons playing for the club's first team.
Belgium's record scorer has enjoyed a successful period in the Premier League since that move, scoring 97 goals in 212 appearances, but the 24-year-old admits he is keen to return to his homeland before the end of his career.
"My dream was always to play for Anderlecht," Lukaku told HLN, while visiting the club's training ground.
"Before the end of my career I will definitely return, I can already promise that. I had a wonderful time there."
Lukaku arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2017 from Everton in a deal worth £90m and is the club's top scorer in all competitions this term with 18 goals.
United's 1-0 defeat to Newcastle at St James' Park on Sunday dented their bid for the Premier League title, leaving them 16 points adrift of league leaders Manchester City with 11 games left of the season.
