Pogba: 'No Problem' With Mourinho

Paul Pogba insists there is "no problem" between himself and Jose Mourinho, despite his limited first-team opportunities at Old Trafford in recent weeks.

Despite Pogba playing a key role in the first half of Manchester United's season, academy graduate Scott McTominay was Mourinho's preferred choice in the centre of midfield for crucial games against Sevilla and Liverpool.

Pogba started in Saturday's 2-0 win over Swansea after failing to make the starting XI in the three previous matches, but the France international says he is unaware as to why he has fallen out of favour under Mourinho.

In an interview with Telefoot, Pogba said: "It's true [being benched] has never happened to me, but it can strengthen me. You have to go through these periods to make you stronger.

"There is no problem with Mourinho. It's not me who picks the team. Ask the coach if you want to know why I play less. I respect his choices."

Pogba has, however, sought to the swerve transfer talk, adding: "It's too early to talk about a departure from United, the situation can change."

Pogba, while on international duty with France, spoke of his desire to play alongside PSG and Brazil forward Neymar - sparking talk of an exit from Manchester. However, he quickly moved squash the rumours.

On his desire to play alongside the best players in the world: "Neymar? I said I dream of playing with him, [Lionel] Messi or Cristiano [Ronaldo], but that doesn't mean that I want to move clubs."
