FA wait for referee's report over Jose Mourinho touchline bust-up at Stamford Bridge

The Football Association is waiting for the referee’s report before deciding whether any further action is warranted over the ugly scenes on the touchline at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho took exception to the way Chelsea assistant coach Marco Ianni celebrated Ross Barkley's late equaliser, prompting a melee around the tunnel.

Sky Sports News has been told Mike Dean will only file an "extraordinary incident report" if he feels there's something the FA need to be aware of, that wasn't dealt with at the time.

Mourinho revealed in his post-match interview to Sky Sports he received an apology from Ianni and Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri and said he considers the matter closed, but it remains to be seen whether the FA opts to take further action.

United had come from behind for the second match running through Anthony Martial's second-half double, with six minutes added for injury time.

But Barkley maintained Chelsea's unbeaten league start in dramatic fashion, after David Luiz's header had hit the post and first-half goalscorer Antonio Rudiger's follow-up effort was saved by David de Gea before the England man slotted home.
