Mata scales back blog post after latest Manchester United defeat
Juan Mata has scaled back his weekly blog post in the wake of Manchester United's worst start to a league campaign for 29 years, writing "it isn't really a time for posts".
United lost 3-1 at West Ham United on Saturday, a result which leaves them tenth in the Premier League after three defeats from their first seven matches.
The loss at the London Stadium followed United's Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Championship side Derby County and a disappointing home draw against newly-promoted Wolves.
Mata, who came off the bench against West Ham, wrote on Monday: "Hi everyone. Today, my blog post is shorter than usual. In fact, it isn't really a time for posts.
"I want to thank all of you who support us during these tough times. I understand your frustrations.
"The upcoming game against Valencia is a special one for me, but above all it is another chance to get back to winning ways."
Players' use of social media is a hot topic at Old Trafford in the wake of Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba's heated discussion at training last week.
The Sky Sports cameras caught Mourinho questioning the timing of a video Pogba posted on Instagram while he was sitting in the stands during United's game against Derby.
