Revealed: United's Champions League opponents
Manchester United will face FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League next month.
The Reds reached this stage of Europe’s elite competition by overcoming Paris Saint-Germain on away goals following a 3-3 draw over two legs. United lost the first leg 2-0 at home before winning 3-1 in the French capital in a dramatic second leg, with Marcus Rashford’s injury-time penalty sealing our progression to the last eight.
The first leg of the tie will take place at Old Trafford on Wednesday 10 April. The second leg will come six days later at the Nou Camp, on Tuesday 16 April. Both matches will kick off at 20:00 BST.
We were initially drawn to play away first but we will now be at home for the first leg due to Manchester City also being drawn away first.
The draw was conducted by UEFA’s Chief of Press, Pedro Pinto, and former Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday.
