Daniel James continues to adapt at United

Marcus Rashford says he and the other Manchester United strikers are benefiting from the service being supplied by Daniel James.

The Reds' leading scorer has enjoyed his link-up with the Wales international since the winger's arrival from Swansea City in the summer, with James assisting his goals against Liverpool, Norwich City, Sheffield United and Burnley.

As James continues to learn how to set up his colleagues from the flank, after exploiting his speed to get into crossing positions, it is an area of United's attack that is only going to get better. Certainly, his attitude has impressed all of his team-mates.

"“Dan has been brilliant since he came in,”" Rashford told United Review, the official matchday programme. "“He works hard in every single game and, when it comes down to it, that is all you can ask of each player – to give it all they’ve got. "

"“He definitely does that and, if we can adapt more to his playing style, he can cause some teams nightmares down the right-hand side, as we’ve seen in some games this season. "

"“But I like his deliveries as well. He takes his time and doesn’t just cross it. He lifts his head up and tries to pick you out. It’s these little things that, as time goes on, he will definitely improve on and build on.”"

James suggested in a recent interview that he could have a race with Rashford to see which of them is the quickest, because it would be a close-run thing.

However, the striker joked that he was not too keen on that idea!

"“I don’t know about that!”" the England international laughed. "“I won’t be racing him, that’s for sure!”"
