A GUIDE TO THE WEEK AHEAD FOR UNITED

The Premier League winter break is over and it is time for football to return, and it is back with a vengeance for Manchester United, with three games over the next seven days.

It isn't just the men's first team that will be in the spotlight during the week, with our Academy and women's team both taking to the turf for fixtures.

With so much going on, here's a handy guide to what is taking place in the world of United...

MONDAY

Sixteen days on from our goalless draw with Wolves on 1 February, United return to Premier League action as we travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. The home of Frank Lampard's Blues has been a happy hunting ground for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, with us tasting victory in our last two visits in the Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup respectively and we will be eager to follow up the 4-0 success at Old Trafford from the opening weekend of the campaign.

Follow our pre-match build-up on MUTV from 18:55 GMT, as well as in-game commentary and live stats via the Official App.

The team will be wearing black armbands as a mark of respect for former keeper Harry Gregg, who has sadly passed away.

TUESDAY

We’ll continue to provide you with all the reaction from Monday's game against Chelsea and start the build-up to our meeting with Club Brugge in the Europa League.

Elsewhere, legendary United defender Gary Neville, who made 400 Premier League appearances for the Reds, celebrates his 45th birthday today. Many happy returns, Gary!

WEDNESDAY

On the eve of our Europa League last 32 tie in Belgium, the manager will face the media in his pre-match press conference, which will take place at 18:00 GMT. We’ll be covering the briefing, and his exclusive MUTV interview, on ManUtd.com and in our Official App.

In the evening, the Manchester United Museum is also unveiling an exhibition marking 110 years at Old Trafford.

THURSDAY

Ahead of the first team's match with Club Brugge, Neil Wood's Under-23s will be in action in the afternoon, as they also take on the Belgian outfit at FC Heist's stadium.

After that, our attention will turn to the Jan Breydel Stadium, as the Reds embark on our Europa League knock-out campaign with the first leg of our last-32 tie. The build-up to the game begins on MUTV at 16:45 GMT, with live radio commentary when the match itself kicks off at 17:55 GMT.

FRIDAY

Following on from Thursday's game, we'll have continued reaction on ManUtd.com and in the Official App, and will also start looking ahead to the matches taking place over the weekend.

Phil Jones also turns 28 on January. All the best, Phil!

SATURDAY

The weekend gets under way with United's Under-18s taking on Derby County at the Aon Training Complex. Neil Ryan's side have enjoyed four wins from the last four fixtures in all competitions, including advancing to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup, and his side will be eager to carry that forward into our meeting with the Rams.

MUTV will be showing the game live, with coverage beginning at 11:45 GMT, while the match itself kicks off at 12:00 GMT.

Our experienced keeper, Sergio Romero, turns 33 on Saturday too. Many happy returns, Sergio!

SUNDAY

Our second Premier League match, and third first-team match, of the week takes place on Sunday, as United return to Old Trafford to face relegation-threatened Watford. The Reds will be eager to avenge the defeat at Vicarage Road before Christmas, and kick-off is at 14:00 GMT, with MUTV's build-up commencing at 12:55 GMT.

As well as that, United Women are also in action, as Casey Stoney's side travel to Walton Hall Park for what is the second of back-to-back away fixtures. Last time out, Stoney's Reds were held to a draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, but will be hoping for a repeat of our 3-1 success against the Toffees in December.
