BRUNO: WE MAY CONQUER MANY TITLES IN THE FUTURE

Bruno Fernandes has posted a message to Manchester United fans around the world after completing his first season as a Red, expressing a desire to “conquer many titles in the future”.

The Portuguese playmaker has made a sensational impact on the club since joining from Sporting in late January and is clearly already one of the most popular players for supporters.

That is thanks to the incredible influence that Bruno has had on our overall form, having played a crucial role in driving the Reds up the Premier League table to secure a third-placed finish.

Fernandes was also instrumental in United reaching the Emirates FA Cup and UEFA Europa League semi-finals, and he finished the term with 12 goals from 22 appearances across all competitions.

Bruno reached a dozen goals during Sunday’s European tie against Sevilla and, like all of his Reds team-mates, the no.18 was devastated to lose 2-1, after dominating so much of the match.

In a message written specifically for his 2.6million Instagram followers, Fernandes expresses his disappointment but also looks forward to achieving new aims.

“Unfortunately our journey in the Europa League ends here,” writes Bruno to his fans. “It wasn’t what we expected. We wanted to be in the final and fight for the trophy we so desired. Whilst we congratulate Sevilla for making it to the final, we still played well and we didn’t deserve to stop here.

“It is now time for rest and to reflect so that we come back even stronger and reach the goals we set ourselves for the next season!

“Thank you to all my team-mates and staff who welcomed me so well over these past months at the Red Devils. I hope to continue to learn and grow every day with you, and that we may conquer many titles in the future. Together we lose, together we make mistakes and together we grow.”

ONE LAST ACHIEVEMENT?

Fernandes is currently the Europa League's top scorer this season with eight goals to his name. Five of those were scored with his former club Sporting and the other three were registered as a Red.

Bruno's closest competition for the Golden Boot title comes from Internazionale striker Romelu Lukaku, whose brace in Monday's semi-final victory over Shakhtar Donetsk took him to six goals. The former Red needs a hat-trick in the final to claim the title of top scorer for himself.

Sevilla forward Munir has bagged five goals so far and therefore needs at least three in the final to match Bruno, or four to overtake him.
