'Brokeback Mountain' Heath Ledger Found Dead

28-year-old Australian-born Brokeback Mountain co-star Heath Ledger was found dead on January 22, 2008 at his apartment in New York. He was found face down and naked on bed with sleeping pills nearby.

A housekeeper went to his apartment to inform him about the massage therapist who had an appointment with him had arrived and found him dead in his room.

His body was moved to the floor, and after receiving no response from the actor after shaking him, the massage therapist and housekeeper called authorities.

It was not clear if Heath Ledger had committed suicide but the policemen are investigating the possibility of an overdose.
