Rooney: I Am Happy At United

Wayne Rooney takes satisfaction in reported interest from the world's other top clubs that has come with his outstanding recent form, but the Reds front man has no intention of leaving United.

Rooney is as committed as ever to the Old Trafford cause and confirmed his loyalty by outlining his desire for the Reds to “create history” and win a record fourth consecutive league crown.

The press claim interest from Spain's top clubs in the Reds' in-form no.10, but Wayne made his feelings clear on Monday at the official launch of the new Nike T90 Laser III boots that he's been using to such deadly effect lately.

"There’s always speculation, and when other big teams are talking about you, it’s nice that you’re talked about," he said. "But as I’ve said many times before, I’m a United player and I’m very happy here."

Rooney's mind is 100 per cent focused on the team's objectives - namely winning the league - and his show of allegiance comes at the start of a crucial week in which the Reds take on Manchester City in the Carling Cup semi-final second leg on Wednesday, before visiting title rivals Arsenal in the league on Sunday.

"I hope we can win the title again this year," he added. "We’ve won the league the last three years and nobody has ever won it four times in a row. We want to create history.

"The title race is much tighter this year and it’s probably more exciting for the neutrals or fans around the country. But we’re hoping that now we are top we can go on and remain there for the rest of the season."
