United Squad For Europa League:

Nemanja Vidic and Darren Fletcher have been included in Manchester United's 38-man UEFA Europa League squad even though both players have been ruled out for the season.

Vidic ruptured cruciate ligaments when United's UEFA Champions League campaign ended following defeat to Basel in December.

Fletcher, meanwhile, has not played since the November 22nd draw with Benfica at Old Trafford and is now taking an extended break from the game in order to recover from a chronic bowel condition.

A number of young fringe players, including highly-rated midfielder Paul Pogba, have also been included.

The Red Devils will meet Dutch giants Ajax over two legs in the round of 32, starting at the Amsterdam ArenA next Thursday.

The winners will then face Lokomotiv Moscow or Athletic Bilbao in the last 16.
