Museum Scoops Tourism Award

The Manchester United museum and tour has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the world’s largest travel website, TripAdvisor.

For many, the website is the first port of call when looking for holidays or days out, with visitors not only reviewing the information on the site, but also leaving their own comments and star ratings for each destination.

The Manchester United museum and tour has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence for consistently earning top ratings from TripAdvisor contributors in the past year.

TripAdvisor states the award is "given only to the most exceptional performers in TripAdvisor’s global business community", a testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff who work within the popular tourist destination.

Manchester United director of venue Karl Evans said: "We know the museum and tour is popular due to the hundreds of thousands of visitors we welcome each year. However, to be recognised and recommended by not only the fans who do visit us but also TripAdvisor is a great accomplishment.

"We have a very dedicated team who run the museum and tour who work tirelessly to ensure we offer a range of packages to suit everyone, as well as world-class customer service. I am extremely proud of their achievement."

The Manchester United museum and tour is one of the North West’s most popular tourist destinations, welcoming more than 340,000 visitors each year from the UK and abroad.

The unique attraction combines the passion and history of the club with educational and fun activities, including a behind-the-scenes tour of the famous stadium.

The museum and tour can be enjoyed in a number of different ways, including arriving at Old Trafford via a leisure cruise taking in Manchester’s canal networks, Salford Quays and MediaCityUK.
