Fletcher Excited By Tour Trip
Darren Fletcher says the Reds will relish another trip to the United States this summer following the announcement of Tour 2014, presented by Aon.
David Moyes’ men will travel to a host of destinations in the States as part of the trip and will play three games in a pre-season tournament featuring some of the world’s best teams, including Real Madrid, Internazionale and AC Milan.
Fletcher, whose first ever pre-season tour was the 2003 visit to North America, says the US is always a popular destination with the players and believes it provides the perfect opportunity for team bonding.
"For me, that's the most important aspect of pre-season," the midfielder told MUTV and ManUtd.com. "Of course, it's great to go and see all the new cities, stadiums and fans, and meet people in communities or local schools and different things like that, which we do on tour. But ultimately it's all about being away with the lads and really getting to know each other and having some good banter!
"It'll be great to go back to the States; it's a fantastic place to go. I'm a big fan of going to America as the facilities are always brilliant. There's also good support out there but at the same time you get a bit of down-time as well. All the players always enjoy it."
