Reds Urged To Harness Hurt

David Moyes says his Manchester United players are hurting after a run of three wins, five defeats and a draw in 2014, but the Reds boss remains confident that the disappointment can be harnessed into a determination to put it right.

That form is not ideal to take into Wednesday's visit to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal, even after their 5-1 drubbing against Liverpool at the weekend. But Moyes is still seeking a reaction from his players.

"The players are hurting," he said on Sunday after the 2-2 draw with Fulham. "I see them every day and they hurt because the results aren't going the way we want them to. They're really good professionals in the way they go about their work. I mentioned it in my programme notes, I see it in their training and it makes me feel like they'll get results. I've no doubt about that."

Long-term league aims have been set aside as the Reds chase a sustained run of good form, so Moyes refused to place any additional significance on Wednesday's fixture.

"We have to win all our games," he said. "You can ask me as many times as you like but I'll keep saying that we have to win all our games. We should have won that one [against Fulham] and we needed to as well.

"We've just got to go into the next game. That's what happens, you take the team on and you challenge them and we've got some good players here. I don't think there'll be many teams keen to take on Manchester United."
