Fletcher Learns From The Best
Darren Fletcher admits he has learned from some great captains at Manchester United but will be his own man when he leads out the Reds in Wayne Rooney's absence.
The Scotland skipper has obtained plenty of knowledge during his time at Old Trafford and aims to put it to good effect as he approaches the campaign with confidence.
"It's a fantastic honour when I look back at the great captains over the years," he informed MUTV. "Especially ones I have played under - Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nemanja Vidic.
"They are some fantastic examples there and people I've learned a lot from. But you can only be yourself and the manager has obviously seen something in me to choose me.
"I'll continue doing what I'm doing, helping the young lads and talking to everyone, being a voice on the pitch and trying to be a good pro. I want to achieve success for Manchester United."
