Lindegaard Considering Manchester United Exit

Anders Lindegaard is considering a move away from Manchester United, according to the goalkeeper's agent.

Lindegaard, who joined from Norwegian side Aalesunds, has acted as back-up since moving to Old Trafford in 2010 and has managed just 29 appearances for United in all competitions.

The 30-year-old's first-team chances appear to be increasingly slim in the forthcoming season with David de Gea established as number one and academy product Ben Amos reportedly set to be become the Spaniard's understudy.

The Denmark international has been heavily linked with a departure this summer and agent Michael Stensgaard confirmed he is weighing up an exit.

"Anders would consider staying in England, but he is actually open to other opportunities too," Stensgaard told Danish news agency Ritzau.

"The important thing is the package is right considering the family, the sport ambitions and of course the finances."

Lindegaard has a further two years remaining on his current deal with United, but recent reports suggested he would be released from his contract - something which his agent denied.

"There is no truth at all in the speculation that his contract has been terminated," said Stensgaard.
