Mata: Falcao Is Extraordinary
In his latest blog, Juan Mata greets the arrival of Radamel Falcao and discusses some downtime in the Lake District...
I'm writing to you at the end of a quiet Sunday - rarely do we have a day like this in a football season.
Last week I had the opportunity to spend a couple of days in the Lake District. For those of you who don't know this spectacular area, it's a National Park which is ideal to get lost in and relax for a few days... I really like going to peaceful and quiet places like that whenever I can. They allow you to switch off from the daily routine and to enjoy nature.
Of course, we also had training sessions during the week and we had some good days of work preparing for our game at Old Trafford on Sunday [against QPR].
It's true that the full team won't be together until Thursday and I'm looking forward to that day, with all of us training, obviously with the idea of improving our game and getting better results.
Almost at the end of the transfer window we had a new signing. Not just a player, but a fantastic striker whose ability to score is extraordinary: Radamel Falcao. I am sure he will give a lot to our group, as a person and with his goals, and here I welcome him and I wish him the best for this season.
