Young Excited For FA Cup Draw
The Reds are fully focused on tonight's match at Southampton, but Ashley Young says that won't stop Manchester United's players keeping one eye on the FA Cup third round draw, which takes place an hour before kick-off at St Mary's.
This is the point in the oldest cup competition in the world that the top-flight teams come into the reckoning, and Young says it's always an exciting day in the football calendar.
"It's great when you see the balls being picked out and the teams get read out," he told ManUtd.com.
"It would be nice to get a good home tie instead of travelling. The FA Cup is probably the main domestic competition, other than the Premier League, out of the two cup competitions.
"Seeing who you're going to be drawn against and whether you are home or away is definitely the exciting part, as well as the final itself.
"It’s about getting to Wembley and that’s where I always remember FA Cup finals being played, so hopefully we can get ourselves to a final."
United will be ball number no.25 in the draw, which takes place around 19:00 GMT on Monday night.
