Fellaini Explains Goal Celebration

After helping Manchester United to a 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers, Marouane Fellaini explained why he ran straight to substitute Adnan Januzaj after opening the scoring at Loftus Road.

Having come on as a substitute in the second half, the Belgian midfielder teed himself up from Antonio Valencia's clever cut-back before firing home to break the deadlock, and then he raced off towards the bench to embrace his compatriot.

Speaking to MUTV after the win at Loftus Road, Fellaini said of his fellow Belgian: "He hasn't played a lot this season, so I like to look after him."

On the goal itself, which Robert Green tried in vain to prevent, Fellaini felt the timing of it was vital in securing the result. United's no.31 said: "It was a good pass, there was good control and a good finish. It was important to score early in the second half because we knew in the end it’d be difficult, which it was."
