Who Was United's Best Chance Creator?

Creative duo Angel Di Maria and Juan Mata carved out the most opportunities for their Manchester United colleagues in the Barclays Premier League last season.

Opta's statistics show Di Maria and Mata both created 51 chances as Louis van Gaal's men finished in fourth spot in the division – six more than captain Wayne Rooney. Ashley Young was next best with 34, while Robin van Persie's 27 was one ahead of Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia.

Argentinian arrival Di Maria also contributed the most assists (10), double the amount of his nearest challengers as Rooney and Young posted five each in the league.

Unsurprisingly, van Persie and Rooney led the way in terms of taking shots with the Dutchman mustering 66 (37 on target) and the skipper providing 53 (27 on target).
