FA Cup 6th Round Draw: United Or Shrewsbury To Face West Ham

The winners between Shrewsbury Town and Manchester United will face West Ham United at home in the sixth round of the Emirates FA Cup following Sunday evening’s draw.

Louis van Gaal’s men beat Sheffield United and Derby County in the previous rounds, and travel to Greenhous Meadow on Monday to face the Shrews with a place in the last eight on offer.

The potential quarter-final tie against West Ham will be played between Friday 11 and Monday 14 March, which is the weekend before United and Manchester City meet in the derby at the Etihad Stadium.

The Hammers - who are currently seventh in the Barclays Premier League - defeated Wolves, Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers to reach this stage of the competition. Fans will remember their league trip to Old Trafford earlier in the season, on 5 December, resulted in a gritty 0-0 draw.
