Langley Leaving Man. United
Derek Langley, Head of Recruitment, is leaving the club after 16 years.
Manchester United would like to place on record their thanks for the dedication and commitment Derek has shown during his time with the club.
Derek has played a key role in the development of several young players, many of whom have gone on to have very successful professional careers.
Everyone at the club would like to wish Derek all the best for the future.
Derek said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Manchester United, however, I feel now is the right time for me to move on. I have had 16 wonderful years working with great people, Sir Alex Ferguson, Geoff Watson, Tony Whelan and Les Kershaw to name but a few. This club is renowned for giving youth a chance and it has been so rewarding to see so many young players go on and make their first-team debut.
"Of course, I have so many incredible memories of my time at the club. It has been a real pleasure and very rewarding to work with young players and their parents and to see how those players have gone on to develop into professional footballers.
"Finally, I would like to thank to all the staff I have worked with over the years both at the Aon Training Complex and at Old Trafford, many of whom I now regard as friends. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Jose Mourinho and Manchester United all the best for the future."
