Shaw's Message To Ba

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has recorded a special video message for Demba Ba, after the former Premier League striker broke his leg while playing in China on Sunday.

The former West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea forward suffered the horrific injury when he was in action for his current club Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League.

Shaw fractured his own leg in two places during United's Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven last September and the 21-year-old thankfully returned to action during the 2-0 win at Wigan Athletic last weekend, before registering 90 minutes against Borussia Dortmund on Friday.

In a video message that was recorded before the Reds' defeat to the Bundesliga team on Friday, Shaw delivered his best wishes to Ba and offered his own advice for the Senegal international.

"I am so sorry to hear of the news of your latest injury," Luke says to Ba. "Obviously I have been through the same thing so I know how you are feeling right now. But I think the main thing for you now is to keep strong, and to keep your family and friends close.

"For me that was the most important thing at the time, to have the people that I care about the most next to me. So I am sending all my best, I hope the operations go well, your recovery goes quickly and you are back on the pitch in no time. I am sure you will be stronger than ever."
