Mazzari: Ibrahimovic An 'Immortal Player',
Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an "eternal and immortal" player, according to Watford manager Walter Mazzarri.
Mazzarri's Watford host Ibrahimovic and his Manchester United team-mates on Sunday in the Premier League, although the pair have often come across each other during their time in Serie A.
Ibrahimovic, 34, has scored four goals in four Premier League games since arriving at Old Trafford, and Mazzarri has claimed the former Paris Saint-Germain striker can be labelled one of the greatest ever players.
"Ibrahimovic is the type of player I call eternal and immortal," Mazzarri said in his pre-match press conference.
"I have [coached] against him many times, he can make the difference on the pitch. We will try as we always do with great players but I also want to add that it's very important to keep in my mind Manchester United are not just about Ibrahimovic.
"[Wayne] Rooney, [Marouane] Fellaini; the whole squad, all of the players. They have a great squad and we have to be careful."
Manchester United have suffered back-to-back defeats under Jose Mourinho after their Manchester derby loss was followed by an unsuccessful Europa League trip to Feyenoord, while Watford will go into the game having beaten West Ham 4-2 at the London Stadium last weekend.
