Mourinho Jokes With Reporters About His New Haircut

Jose Mourinho shared a joke with reporters as he discussed his new haircut ahead of Manchester United’s EFL Cup clash with Hull.

The United boss sported a much shorter cut as he addressed the media ahead of the EFL Cup semi-final second leg at the KCOM Stadium on Thursday, live on Sky Sports 1 HD.

It is not the first time the Portuguese has gone for the buzzcut look, doing the same in 2013 and before that in 2006 when he told reporters that by looking at his new haircut they could see that he was "ready for the war".

On this occasion Mourinho denied that the change in hairstyle signified a step up in intensity as United continue their involvement in four competitions but instead poked fun at some members of the media in attendance.

"The haircut is a privilege because I am the kind of guy who can do it and in one month I have a new hair, a new wig," he said.

"So, it is a privilege but some of you, you can't do it!"
