Rashford Confident United Can Get Job Done

Marcus Rashford is out to help Manchester United join Southampton in next month's EFL Cup final by overcoming Hull City at the KCOM Stadium - the scene of his dramatic winning goal in the Premier League last August.

The exciting teenage forward is confident Jose Mourinho's men can finish the job off against the Tigers, following a 2-0 win in the first leg at Old Trafford, but accepts the Reds must guard against complacency after the goals by Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini earlier this month.

"I do think that’s the biggest thing that we’ve got to try to do," he told MUTV. "Leave the last game behind us because it’s done. We’re going to face new challenges when we play against them at Hull. They will have the home fans behind them and are going to be raring to go so I think it’s important we keep our focus.

"I think if a goal goes for or against us, we must keep the same mentality – to go out there to win every game. I think if we concentrate on our own focus, then I’m confident we’ll get the job done."

Rashford's injury-time winner in the league game at Hull will bring back good memories for the England international, who also took time to pass on his support for the Tigers' injured midfielder Ryan Mason, who fractured his skull in the weekend defeat to Chelsea.

"That game was a very interesting one," Rashford said of United's 1-0 triumph in the opening weeks of the season. "I think Hull have begun to find the form they were showing at the start of the season again. They’re defending well as a team and creating more chances as well.

"It’s a terrible thing that’s happened [to Ryan]. In a contact sport like football, things like that do happen and, of course, everyone is happy the news is better regarding a speedy recovery and we all hope he plays again soon."
