Fosu-Mensah Could Be Fit For Final

Jose Mourinho has revealed that Tim Fosu-Mensah could still have an outside chance of making Manchester United's squad for the Europa League final.

The Dutchman suffered a shoulder injury during the dying seconds of the derby with City last month after coming on as a late substitute at the Etihad Stadium.

Although there were initial fears the versatile youngster would miss the rest of the season, he is working overtime in a desperate bid to be available to take on his former club Ajax in Stockholm in eight days' time.

"Fosu-Mensah has a little chance to be ready [for the final]," declared Mourinho. "But even this kid is trying everything because the others [who are out injured] are impossible." 

Fosu-Mensah is capable of operating in defence or midfield and would provide an extra option for the boss if he can recover in time to make the flight to Sweden.
